About Becky

For the past twenty years, Becky served families in Silicon Valley as a trusted, professional college counselor. Guiding students and families through the daunting college application process brought joy and job satisfaction as her students headed out confidently to top colleges and universities. But like one in three Americans, the Great Resignation was the catalyst for a career change. Real estate was a dream of Becky’s that she’d set aside for “someday”. That “someday” arrived.

The skills, values, and work ethic that make a great real estate agent run parallel to the skills and values necessary to be a successful college counselor. When Becky had a chance meeting with NextHome Lifestyles Broker,  Brad Gill,  through a mutual friend, Brad’s positive energy was contagious. As she learned more about NextHome Lifestyles, she knew she’d found her mentor and next place on the Brad Gill Team. What drew Becky to NextHome Lifestyles is their fresh take on branding (who doesn’t love Luke the Mascot) and exceptional attention to detail, marketing, and superb training. It all matters if the goal is serving people well.

 Becky has lived and purchased homes in Cupertino, Los Gatos,  Los Altos, Fremont, and now Sunnyvale and understands the uniqueness and benefits of the array of locations the Valley offers buyers. As a former interior designer, she enjoys visualizing a property's potential. 

Another positive change Becky made is choosing a more active lifestyle. Biking the Bay and coastline trails, weight training, and tennis are weekly events.  The “Coaster Crew” became a thing a few years ago with her grandsons. They travel the U.S. to ride some of the fastest and tallest roller coasters. When time permits, Becky takes in concerts, golf, and getaway trips to Southern California.

Becky is a native of Illinois, graduated from Bradley University, and moved a few years later from the Chicago metro area to Cupertino. She spent a few years in the insurance industry and had a fun stint as an interior designer with a San Jose-based firm before becoming a stay-at-home mom. When her youngest of five daughters started junior high, she began her college counseling career.
